What you should know

You don’t need to be an expert. Leagues use averages and handicaps, so beginners fit right in.

Everyone starts somewhere. Even bowlers who score 250s were once new, and most are happy to help others learn.

Leagues are organized without being overly strict: arrive on time, bowl your frames, respect others, and have fun.

What to look forward to

You’ll receive an official average, which helps determine handicaps and track your progress. Watching that average rise is one of the most rewarding parts of league bowling.

You don’t need fancy equipment to start. House balls and rental shoes work just fine.
